China has locked down Shanghai and a number of other major cities, accounting for 40% of its GDP. This is so frustrating from Bloomberg, “The growth outlook hinges largely on how quickly China can bring the outbreaks under control” NO it does not! It hinges on whether or not the government just lets everything reopen and return to normal. The underlying message of inevitability is dangerous misinformation in my book.
CNBC said, “While China is expected to eventually fend off the current wave of Covid infections that has stemmed from the highly transmissible omicron variant” why would anyone believe this?
