The Importance of Pelosi’s Visit to Taiwan

I am praying that Speaker Pelosi lands in Taiwan, in defiance of threats from Beijing. China has no hand to play. They cannot ford, nor can they win, a war with the U.S., Japan, and Taiwan. And, any economic sanctions they bring against the U.S. would wreck the Chinese economy.
I hope China retaliates by banning exports to the U.S. That would shave about 15 percentage points off of China’s GDP, while forcing U.S. and foreign companies to shift manufacturing to Vietnam, Indonesia, and India.
Furthermore, the Pelosi trip will prove that China has nothing, reducing them from being a would-be world-power to being a yapping, little North Korea. #economy #Taiwan #Japan #PLA #China
